French National Test

The French Department is excited to announce that this year, our students will be participating in the National French Contest, to be held during class on Wednesday, March 25 / Thursday, March 26.  

The Grand Concours test is developed annually by the American Association of Teachers of French as a motivational, extracurricular activity/contest for students of French. We encourage all our students to experience this test.  There is no failure nor are there negative consequences to the test.  There are medals for those earning National and Chapter recognition as well as certificates for those scoring in the top 50% and the top 20%.  Those whose scores represent the top scores nationally are considered Lauréats Nationaux and as such receive a certificate and a prestigious National award. 

Each test, which includes access to all previous tests as practice, costs $6.00. We are hoping to cover the cost for all of our students to participate. We hope you will consider donating to our Future Fund account to help make this possible! Thank you so much for your support!
