The FHS Culinary program (Culinary Skills, Baking & Pastry and Honors Catering) is requesting a donation of $75. One of the goals of Foothill's culinary program is to give students as many hands-on experiences preparing food as possible, but our grocery bills get higher each year. These hands-on labs allow them to develop their skills in the kitchen AND their palette as chefs. While we run a number of fundraisers throughout the year, our lab experiences are truly made possible because of your donations. These donations also help all of our students receive their Food Handler certificate which is required for anyone working in the hospitality/restaurant field - a great thing to have on a resume!
If you are not in a position to support the program in a financial way, we will also accept items such as dish soap, hair ties, laundry detergent, paper products (those left over plates from the party this weekend? We'll use those!!), etc. Any way you can help offset costs would be helpful.
